A Collaborative Partnership
The Royal Mint has been using Maginus OMS since 2009 as the backbone of their sales, marketing and distribution operation. Using the CRM, sales processing, warehousing and supply chain capabilities within Maginus OMS gives The Royal Mint a single view of the customer and stock availability. This, in turn, enables them to deliver great customer service, increase efficiency and process sales from different sales channels.
As business requirements have changed, Maginus OMS has been developed to continue to keep pace with the business initiatives at The Royal Mint. Consultants at Maginus worked in partnership with key staff at The Royal Mint, resulting in significant changes to create a more proactive logistics operation with total control over goods receipt, put-away, location control, order picking, packing and despatch.
“The Maginus consultants have always shown a clear understanding of our business. This enables them to recommend changes either to the way we use the existing system, or development work, that will significantly increase our efficiency. For example, Maginus recommended we use existing capabilities around Packing Stations and handheld devices and develop a relationship with MetaPack to improve the speed and accuracy of carrier-label production.
The combined solution has greatly increased the efficiency of our picking, packing and despatch process. We now have an audit trail so we know exactly where stock is at any point in time. We’ve also improved accuracy which has improved customer satisfaction and reduced the number of returns, the number of which has fallen by almost 50%”.
